Not sure it really means anything, but for a lifetime of work to be recognised is a bonus.<br /><br />And, not having any qualifications wasn't such a handicap in those days. Nowadays, it seems that qualifications are all and ability is nothing.<br /><br />Employers won't even look at graduates with good degrees and no experience.
