Brilliant!! Love it! Sadly, this may resemble the experience of some church's visitors - perhaps not the drink at the end though!! lol. I often use adverts etc to get a point across - think I may show this one. Thanks for sharing it!!
I love this! In my experience I have to say, I wish church would feel a bit more like it. In some of the churches I visited I felt more like I was an unwelcome guest. This is not true for most of them though.
Actually perhaps this is what many Clergy feel like when confronted with Churches too :-) And there is an Irony that the ones here doing the welcoming are those who would be least welcome in many Churches.... yet I know who I am naturally inclined to spend time with ;-)
I suppose it depends where you are - I have just moved from a Jesuit (RC) parish in North London, very multicultural and welcoming.... but so varied that I think anyone would 'fit in' including our fair share of nutters!
It's sometimes a little like that for the regulars. ;-) And it's very much how the closeknit world of Christian blogging looks to a relatively new reader.
Evidently beer is the answer. :D I find it is for most things....

ReplyDeleteYep, except for the welcome at the end....

brilliant. Would also echo Gills comment - it took me ages to pluck up the courage to post my first comment in blogland.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that the women seem to have less of a problem with the situation, it's usually the blokes who are bailing. I can relate to that!!
